El Profesor Arquímides Q. Porter, también llamado simplemente "Profesor", es uno de los personajes de Tarzan.
Descripción
Él y su hija Jane llegaron a África a estudiar a los gorilas. Cuando conocieron a Tarzán se quedaron a vivir en la jungla. El Profesor es como un "ciéntífico chiflado", muchos de sus inventos no salen bien y, a veces no recuerda lo que estaba haciendo. Tantor, el elefante, suele ayudarle en sus experimentos científicos. Porter tiene un rival desde que era joven en la academia: Samuel T. Philander; quien le roba sus descubrimientos e ideas para así hacerse rico a su costa.
