Rapunzel es la protagonista de la película Tangled.
Historia
Ella nació después de que su madre cayera enferma y fuese curada por la flor dorada con la que Gothel se mantenía joven. Después de su nacimiento, ella heredó los poderes de la flor, y Gothel intentó quitarle un mechón de pelo, pero cuando se lo cortó el mechón rubio, cambió a castaño, perdiendo su poder, por lo que ella la secuestra, la encierra en una torre, y la cría como su hija, alejándola del mundo exterior.
Durante 18 años, Rapunzel a vivido en la torre con la única compañía de su amigo Pascal, un camaleón con el que se entretiene haciendo distintas actividades, pero Rapunzel siempre a deseado salir de la torre, e ir a ver los farolillos luminosos que encienden cada año, pero Gothel no le deja salir de ninguna forma, diciéndole que es por su propio bien.
Rapunzel sabe pintar, tocar la guitarra, tejer, cocinar, hacer figuras de papel maché, jugar al ajedrez, hacer cerámica, ventriloquismo, y hacer velas.
Su melena mide 21 metros.
Ha sido la primera Princesa Disney de una película hecha por ordenador.
Es parecida a Quasimodo, ya que los dos están encerrados en sus refugios, ambos tutores son malvados, no los dejan salir, y les dicen que el mundo es cruel y malo, y los dos se enfrentan a sus tutores cuando descubren la verdad.
